“ Got delivery from Palace Fried Chicken while traveling into the Newark/Harrison area. Service was great on quicker than expected delivery time. Driver was pleasant when arriving at hotel. The fried chicken was great with great seasoning on the outside and very juicy on the inside. Most definitely will be a repeat the next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend if you like fried chicken! ”
“ This place has had one review for as long as I've been Yelping. Time to double that. Palace is classic urban chicken. You walk in and it's a store with a counter and food. No bars on the windows is a good sign! Prices aren't what they used to be but you get a solid 3 chicken parts with a side for under $10. Chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. The flavors are like you just can't get outside Newark. Indescribable mix of spices, tangy, slightly spicy, just so well balanced. Service was friendly even if he took a second to realize I was standing right there. Lots of pickup orders. Now downsides: Nowhere to sit. High prices for small desserts (made locally but not here). Some of the chicken wasn't that crispy. But some was. I'm so glad I finally found a reason to stop here and when my friend asked his friend about the best friend chicken in Newark, this was the first place he mentioned. That seals it at 5 stars. I want to spread the word and get more of y'all reviewing this now. ”
“ My Hood delicacy Series: My first stop was Palace Fried Chicken. The ambience is very chill, you can always catch all walks of life in this place. It's your typical hood spot, but the beauty of the hood is the menu and food. Hood food is good food. My guy Azwaziz he is the master chef. They have an assortment of chicken, Gyro, Rice to my favorite Burgers. I usually get #2 a double burger and fries with a soda comes out to $6.96. This place is a gem because they offer more than just food. If you have the munchies they provide delicious dessert (cheesecake, banana bread pudding, red velvet cake) and ice cream. If your looking to wind down, they have Backwoods, swishers, and black & milds. Most people would look over this place but don't be a fool, Always go inside!!! You will always get hit with a plentiful whiff of chicken aromas. Also this is cash only, but they do have an ATM inside. Finally the food, this burger was amazing. I am a burger junkie and this is always good. My guy Azawaziz knows me now, and always gives me extra fries because I'm a good patron. All the burger was missing was some Big Mac sauce and this would be a HIT. But nonetheless I enjoyed this place, and will always come back. ”
